Create Object Sets Sub-Tab
The Create Object Sets sub-tab allows you to create the object sets that the machine rubric uses to categorize the objects in the answer space. The types of objects in the answer space depend on the interaction type. For each object set, you specify one or more properties to determine which objects belong to that set.

You can manage properties in the Object Set panel (Figure 13), which appears when you add a new object set. For examples of the Object Set panel logic, refer to Appendix C.

This panel includes the following:
- The Name field allows you to enter a name for the object set in this field. The name must be unique and cannot contain spaces.
- The Description field allows you to enter a description for the object set in this field.
- The Object being considered drop-down list allows you to select the name of the object you want to apply operations to.
- The And operator button puts properties in a group in which all affiliated properties must be satisfied for an object to be included in the set.
- The Or operator button puts properties in a group in which only one affiliated property must be satisfied for an object to be included in the set.
- The Back button is not used.
- The Delete button immediately below the Object being considered drop-down list deletes the selected property or operator.
- The Add Property button adds a new property to the object set and opens the Object Property window.
- The Object Set box displays the properties and operators added to the object set. You can click an element in this list to modify or remove it.
- The Save button saves the object set.
- The Cancel button closes the panel without saving changes.
- The Delete button immediately below the Object Set box appears after the object set has been saved. Click this button to delete the object set. You can only delete when there are no variables associated with the object set.
